Completed applications with required documentation will be accepted from 8:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Monday and Tuesday. Applications can be obtained from the Section 8 Office located at 2330 Ohio St, Elmwood Court Section 8 side of the building) during business hours or downloaded by clicking HERE. Rental Assistance (Housing Choice) Voucher Program

The demand for housing assistance often exceeds the limited financial resources available to local housing agencies. Consequently, long waiting periods can be common. Check with the Section 8 staff for the current approximate wait for a Housing Choice Voucher Regulations. There are times in which the waiting list for the Housing Choice Voucher program is closed. However, applications are always accepted for local preference categories including Domestic Violence, Full-time Students, Federal Disaster Displacement, Homeless Veterans and special purpose assistance programs. All applications must be placed in person by head of household.
Homeownership Program
In order to qualify for the homeownership program through Section 8, you must first be actively participating in the rental assistance (housing choice) voucher program.
Five Year and Annual Administrative Plan
The City of Paducah Section 8 Housing Program's Five-year and Annual Administrative Plan (“Plan") is required by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Section 511 of the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998. The Plan is available for public inspection and contains
